University of Leoben The University of Leoben is located in the land Styria, Austria and was founded in the year 1840. About 2000 students are subscribed in technical studies. The original main points of education and research are in the field of mining, metallurgy and materials although environmental aspects have become more important in the last years. The chair of thermo process technology has research topics in heat transfer, industrial furnaces, solid fuel combustion (biomass), metallurgy and energy technology.
